Calculation Specialist (Construction Projects, Romania) – 1 person

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost calculations and detailed estimations for construction project tenders.
• Analyze project documentation (drawings, bills of quantities, specifications) to ensure accurate pricing.
• Use specialized software for cost calculation (training provided if needed).
• Coordinate closely with the Tender Manager and Eligibility Specialist to prepare complete and competitive offers.
• Collect and analyze price quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Verify quantities, materials, and labor requirements in line with project specifications.
• Maintain updated databases of material prices, subcontractor rates, and cost benchmarks.
• Ensure that all calculations are precise, well-documented, and submitted within tender deadlines.
• Provide support in value engineering and optimization of offers when required.

Requirements:

• University degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
• Previous experience (2–4 years) in cost estimation, quantity surveying, or tender calculations in construction.
• Knowledge of Romanian construction standards and cost structures.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Organized, methodical, and able to work under time pressure.
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel in particular); experience with specialized calculation/estimation software is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Romanian language at native/advanced level (mandatory).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
