Within our rail design department, we are looking for a signalling and telecommunication engineer to be part
of our ongoing and future projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION
▬ Analyse existing documentation and identify solutions for railway-specific signaling installations, including
interfacing with existing systems.
▬ Design basic and detailed plans for external equipment: switches, track circuits, signals, level crossings (SAT,
BAT) in accordance with CFR norms and standards.
▬ Design the complete equipment (internal and external parts) for track circuits.
▬ Design schematics for CED (Electrodynamic Centralization) or CE (Electronic Centralization) installations.
▬ Design interfaces between CE and CED.
▬ Design BLA (Automatic Line Block) systems.
▬ Design automation systems for level crossings (SAT and BAT);
▬ Perform specific calculations (network and equipment dimensioning, etc.).
▬ Prepare quantity lists based on estimate articles and/or combined articles, including descriptions for new
items.
▬ Carry out cost evaluations for estimated quantities in project phases.
▬ Design signaling sketches, bifilar isolation plans, cable networks, and cable diagrams for switches, signals,
track circuits, and outdoor cabinets; provisional schematics for electrodynamic centralization systems,
frame diagrams for track circuits, schematics for ETCS Level 1 and 2 installations in modernization projects.
▬ Conduct studies related to the railway system to optimize existing infrastructure and analyze alternatives
for improving system quality.
▬ Comply with and plan interim milestones according to project schedules.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
We recognize that each applicant will bring different experience, but the ideal candidate will have:
▬ Graduate with a university degree in a relevant field – Telecommunications/Transportation Faculty, etc.
▬ Experience in Romanian railway transport/CFR projects (minimum 15 years) in all design phases:
Prefeasibility Studies; Feasibility Studies; DTAC/DTOE/DTOD; Technical Projects + Execution Specifications;
BDG; DDE; As Built documentation.
▬ Good PC skills (Word, Excel, AutoCAD, other specialized software);
▬ Responsible individual, used to working with deadlines, adaptable, creative, detail oriented.
▬ Knowledge of current standards and regulations, as well as relevant national and European legislation (see
applicable TSIs), including those related to railway interoperability.
